In the world of Equine Nutrition, no category of feeds has seen a greater growth than that of the pellet. Once looked upon as being less in nutritional value than “sweet feed”, the pellet is now known to be more digestible, attracting few, if any, flies, does not freeze, prevents the horse from sorting ingredients and, consequently, nutrients. It also will generally produce a lower “glycemic” response than sweet feed thus helping to prevent the horse from getting “hyper” or overresponding to sugar digestibility. The starch value in Dynasty feed is 31%, about 30% less than that of oats.
